Guardian AngelsSM
Established in 1997 as a membership group within Jackson Health Foundation, the Guardian Angels have raised more than $30 million in philanthropic support to enhance and expand pediatric specialty programs at Holtz Children’s Hospital and throughout Jackson Health System.
Composed of more than 250 members, the group serves as a philanthropic partner actively participating in projects, committees, and events throughout Miami-Dade County. By becoming a Guardian Angel, you can help us fund major projects at Holtz Children’s and throughout Jackson Health System that cannot be provided by public support. With your help, we can continue offering accessible healthcare services to all residents in Miami-Dade County, regardless of their ability to pay.
Help Holtz Children’s Hospital
Holtz Children’s Hospital is one of the largest children’s hospitals in the southeastern United States. It is known worldwide for its team of pediatric specialists who are highly skilled in treating children with all types of medical needs — from routine care to lifesaving procedures. As a result of the miracles that happen at Holtz, more children get a second chance at living a fuller life.
As a Guardian Angel, your support is critical. Your gift will help Holtz Children’s Hospital advance emerging research, provide healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art facilities, and continue to make healthcare services accessible to every patient. All are essential to enhancing the health and well-being of children in our community.
Here is just a sample of the projects funded by the Guardian Angels over the years:
- Over $550,000 to support the renovation of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit
- Remodeling of the “Little Miracles Maternity Suites,” featuring a spa-like atmosphere, high-tech equipment, and 20 private maternity suites
- Renovation of the Cancer and Organ Transplant floor
- Renovation of the Adolescent Unit at the Ryder Trauma Center
- A $1 million renovation of the Pediatric Referral Unit/Pediatric Transplant Surgical Unit
- $300,000 to purchase ventilators for the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units
