One Day for Jackson 2026

On April 16, 2026, Jackson Health System celebrated the third annual One Day for Jackson, an outstanding community fundraising event. Thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of all donors and partners involved, more than $1.9 million were raised to support the new emergency room at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Jackson employees, local retailers, corporate sponsors and Miami-Dade County residents came together in collective generosity to support Jackson Health System and its commitment to world-class care for all Miami-Dade County residents. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported One Day for Jackson!

2026 Golden Angels Gala

We hosted our annual Golden Angels Gala on March 28 at the Lowe’s Miami Beach Hotel. The gala honored the Golden Angel Society, the Foundation’s premier giving group, whose members play a vital role in advancing Jackson’s mission through their philanthropic efforts. This year’s gala celebrated the generosity of our Golden Angels, the retirement of Jackson Health System, CEO Carlos A. Migoya, and a moving patient miracle story. The event brought more than 600 philanthropists and community leaders together for a spectacular evening of giving.

2026 Ice Cream We Love

The Ice Cream We Love event, presented by Bal Harbour Shops, was a delightful two-day celebration benefiting patients at Holtz Children’s Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Attendees enjoyed a weekend filled with fun and indulgence, featuring some of the nation’s best ice cream brands.

Holiday of Miracles Toy Drive and Boat Parade

During the 2025 holiday season, we celebrated our Holiday of Miracles Toy Drive and Boat Parade. The community came together for a festive boat parade that filled Biscayne Bay with lights, music, and holiday cheer, followed by a Toy Drive and Wrap-a-thon that delivered thousands of toys to pediatric patients at Holtz Children’s Hospital. Thanks to the generosity of our community, children and families receiving care at Jackson Health System were able to experience joy, comfort, and the magic of the season.

2025 Boat Parade 2025 Toy Drive

26th Annual Guardians of the Children Luncheon and Fashion Show

On October 24th, the Guardians of the Children celebrated their annual Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting Holtz Children’s Hospital surrounded by those who embrace their mission. The luncheon, with nearly 600 guests in attendance raised more than $700,000 and featured an exclusive fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue. The afternoon included an exciting chance drawing with prize packages valued at a minimum of $1,000 and a silent auction curated by Paradise à la Carte in partnership with Iberia Airlines, valued at more than $80,000.

2025 Golden Angels Recognition Dinner

Our Golden Angels Recognition Dinner took place at the prestigious Joe’s Stone Crab on May 19. The evening paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of our esteemed Golden Angel Society members. We recognized over 150 guests for their dedication and welcomed more than 30 new golden angels whose contributions highlighted their commitment to Jackson.

2026 Donor Celebration for New Emergency Room at Jackson Memorial Hospital

On April 16, 2026 Jackson Health Foundation celebrated a historic milestone as $100 million was raised to support the new Emergency Room at Jackson Memorial Hospital—one of the largest emergency rooms in the nation. This transformational achievement was made possible through the generosity of visionary philanthropists, community partners and supporters committed to expanding access to world-class emergency care to all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.

Celebrate the Gift of Life Dinner

Lee Brian Schrager, founder of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, kicked off the 2024 fesitval by hosting the “Celebrate the Gift of Life” dinner. One hundred percent of all proceeds benefitted the Miami Transplant Institute at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

2023 Mind Your Health 5K Run, One-Mile Walk, and Outdoor Festival

Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial

On Friday, March 25, 2022, Jackson Health Foundation, along with Jackson Health System, UHealth – University of Miami Health System, and The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis hosted a dedication event celebrating the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial. An award was presented to philanthropist Christine E. Lynn for her generous donation to The Miami Project and Jackson Health Foundation, which helped fund the center’s construction.
