Jackson Miracle Story: Julia

This beautiful 8-year-old is alive today thanks to the care she received at Holtz Children’s Hospital and the UM/JM Burn Center. Just 7 months ago, Julia and her family were involved in car accident, which left Julia with third-degree burns on 90% of her body. The nearest hospital was not able to treat her wounds and Julia was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center – the only Level 1 trauma center verified by the ACS Committee on Trauma in Miami-Dade County and one of just two in Florida. Julia spent 33 days at Holtz Children’s and received a total of 14 procedures including a skin graft.

As a way to give back to the hospital that saved her life, Julia’s mom felt compelled to share her story in hopes of inspiring others to support our cause.
